Wacom Inkling Video Review.
Looks as good as advertised… It’s still on my wish list.
A new rough “pen doodle” I did using SketchBook Pro on Mac with my Wacom tablet. Started the sketch way at the beginning of the year and pulled it out last night. It’s as finished as I think I want to make it.
This should be a prelude to what is to come from me in the near future… I had been neglecting to draw for too long and want to make it a regular thing again.
So far I really like SketchBook Pro on Mac. It’s definitely more drawing/painting friendly than Photoshop. I also like the ability to save in PSD format by default so Photoshop touch-ups and effects can easily be done with full layer support.
Lingerie and Mask Sketch (also on DeviantArt)
Done on my iPhone using Brushes. I used a paper texture as the background layer to give it a traditional sketch look.
Somewhat BioShock inspired (mainly the mask). Not sure why I’ve got BioShock on the mind lately. I made her a little creepy looking to keep that mood.
I don’t normally do “pinup” style art so it was fun. It also makes me want to practice figure drawing more.
P.S. Checkout my new art critique blog untitledimage.com (always taking art submissions).
Where Androids Come From
My 2nd Layers painting/sketch on my iPhone. I’m using a paper texture as the background layer to give it a natural media look.
Inspired by Ghost in the Shell and other great sci-fi films etc with androids.
I may actually develop this further with more detail and full color later.
“Painter Robot” digital sketch: Done with Brushes (for iPhone). A quick sketch, the product of a slow afternoon at work yesterday.
A sketch I did from scratch on my WACOM tablet in Photoshop… I don’t usually go directly digital when drawing. Click the preview for full sketch.
No idea who she is. She turned-out kinda cute. Looks like she might shop at HotTopic.
Untitled Image Critique thread
Today’s sketch. The same chracter idea I’ve been playing around with; your average 19/20 something guy who becomes a vampire. Had some fun with his t-shirt design. Happy with how the hand turned-out, I thought it would be a mess at first.
Another sketch of the same character from my previous rough sketch. Had some fun with that crazy perspective. Developing him as a young vampire character.
Some sketching I did yesterday that kinda turned into a character design I may develop more.
A drawing I did on my iPod Touch with the coolest iPhone app I’ve ever seen or used; NetSketch. Besides the app being totally awesome, their website allows you to upload and share your drawings with a free profile. Here’s my profile. On top of that; when you view drawings on the site the drawing process is animated from start to finish!
A quick character sketch based on a friend’s clothing design. (Click the image for more info)
A little sketch of Solid Snake I did on my jailbroken iPod Touch, with the Sketches program, after we saw the fireworks. It’s not as accurate to draw with your finger than it would be with a stylus, but it turned out quite well.
Again not much focus on clothing design… Mostly just practice.
