punBB 1.3 Extension: Easy Stats Code Embed

This is an extension that I requested for use on Untitled Image. Props to Garciat for the work on the extension. It allows a punBB administrator to install stats tracking code from Google Analytics or Reinvigorate (etc) via a simple text box in the administration panel. No need to edit any files.

Right now I am in the process of testing my friend’s server with Untitled Image. If all goes smoothly I’ll go ahead and make the switch.

If things go poorly on his server I plan to get the “Home” hosting package on ModHost for $4.95 /month to host both my domains.

Working on a new Message Board

Well it’s not really new since I am using an imported “Untitled Image” database that has been in use for a few years. It’s a community for creative people.

The idea is to restart the community using the latest version of punbb. I’ll be working on a new layout for it, and I plan to keep it very lean and fast loading.

Annoying server PHP issue

I’ve been testing the latest version of punbb because I’m thinking of ditching the Ning network setup for Untitled Image and going back to basics. UI was on punbb for a long time before Ning and I still have the old database with all the messages etc.

My only real hitch is my server. Apparently the admin has a feature turned-off that is used by the latest punbb for extensions. Now I’ve got to convince the server admins to enable it.
