Underworld: Awakening - Trailer.
I’m a sucker for this kind of action movie (no vampire pun intended). I love the fist Underworld, and also enjoyed the two since. This trailer seems to have the dark urban feel that I loved in the first movie.

Inception dreams visualized in Mac OS X.
Yes this has been around the internet for a few days already, but it’s about the most simple and cool explanation of the movie. I’m also a big fan of both the movie and OS.
Roger Ebert reviews Transformers 2
Not sure if I want to see it anymore… Maybe it’ll still be fun if you turn off your brain while watching it?

Just saw ‘The Island’ for the first time

I had heard Michael Bay’s 2005 Sci-Fi thriller The Island was good but never got around to seeing it until last night via Netflix. As a Sci-Fi action movie fan I was very impressed with just about everything about the movie; the story, cast, cinematography, and music is all great. I gave it a 5/5 on Netflix. It’s very much in the same vein as The Matrix and Dark City, also favorites of mine. If you haven’t seen it yet I’d recommend watching it knowing as little as possible about the plot to start with.
If you must see a trailer, you can see it here.
Apple.com HD movie trailers on your PS3 (with a Mac)

Yesterday night I just had to put the new 1080p Star Trek and Watchmen trailers on my PlayStation 3 so I could enjoy the new trailers on my 40” 1080p TV at near Blu-Ray quality. The best source for 1080p trailers is Apple.com/trailers. (If you don’t have QuickTIme pro to save the trailers you can use this site http://www.davestrailerpage.co.uk)
I use MediaLink to get my video files onto my PS3 from my Mac. The only issue is that the PS3 does not support QuickTime .mov files. After a bit of research and a few failed attempts at re-encoding trailers in MP4 format I discovered that you don’t need to re-encode the trailers if you use the right tools.
MPEG Streamclip is all you’ll need. Just drop the downloaded .mov trailers in MPEG Streamclip and select “File > Save As..” and pick MP4 as the format you want to save as. It will only take a moment to save the file and the trailer will be ready to play on your PS3.
Note that if you are using MediaLink over WiFi; your router is likely too slow to play the HD videos from your Mac over the network without sputtering and skipping, you should copy the file to your PS3 before playing.
Netflix “Watch Instantly” Now Available to Mac Users
The beta is now open to Netflix subscribers. (See link for details) Worked great during the minute I tested it, I can’t wait to test it more. Between this and the new Xbox 360 firmware later this month I’ll be in Netflix heaven.
