“Paper” for iPad - Art apps continue to be the only reason I’d ever want an iPad… My iPhone does everything else fine, and I already do art on it.
This is a pretty damn cool-looking app. If I had an iPad and still drew, I’d grab it in a flash. (via Paper for the iPad)

I’m no musician, but Bebot for iOS looks like lots of fun. Much more my speed than the KORG synth for DS I posted about a few years ago… Only thing it really lacks is in-app recording and some kind of drum machine.
I think I saw a Bebot video right before it first came-out but forgot about it since.

#Sworcery Video from Atomix issue 2.
I wish they had an iPhone 4 compatible version of Atomix as I have no plans to get an iPad any time soon.
This is the first video from a four-part Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP feature from issue 02 of Atomix Magazine, the first videogame magazine created specifically for iPad.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
swordandsworcery.com | Ars Technica article | Get it on iTunes for iPad $4.99
Looks very strange and cool. The iPhone/iPod Touch version will be out next month.
Mirrors Edge finally out for iPhone (iTunes link $4.99) - iPad owners have had this game for a while.
I hated the console/PC Mirrors Edge game because it didn’t flow as well as it was advertised and it had lots of frustrating parts. The 2D game actually looks far more entertaining while keeping the very cool mood of the console game.
Free HTML5 painting app by deviantART: Muro
This is crazy cool looking! It’s a free online app you use in your browser. It even works on iPad, and to an extent on iPhone (can’t zoom). You can also purchase access to more advanced brushes and tools, but all the important basics are free.
It supports layers, opacity, filters, and even WACOM tablets. Beta testers have already done some impressive work with it and I’m sure there’ll be a huge rush of new paintings now that it’s public.
I’ll have to play around with it and see if I can do anything cool. The only downside I see is that the canvas is limited to 900px × 446px.
How Star Trek artists imagined the iPad... 23 years ago
Arstechnica.com article on how similar the iPad is to Star Trek “PADD” imagined 23 years ago, and some discussion with the people who helped create the concept.
Osmos: Must buy iPhone/iPad game.
The video above is of the PC/Mac version ($9.99), but the just released iPhone version and recently released iPad version both look and play as well or better. It’s one of the best relaxation games I’ve ever played and it’s a great showpiece for the iPhone 4’s retina display.
Optimized Handbrake Presets to Encode Video for iPad & iPhone 4
Great for re-encoding your favorite HD Apple movie trailers for your iPhone 4’s Retina Display. I’ve put all the Tron Legacy trailers on my iPhone 4.

HoloToy 3D app for iPhone and iPad.
Using the tilt sensors this app created the illusion that your iPhone or iPad is a window into a box that you can view from different angles. It looks like it’s got a few little games too. It’s quite cool looking. ($0.99 US iTunes Link)
iPad manga sketching. Another example of why I’d want an iPad. [via TUAW]
