Too cool! HTML5 Google Chrome port of the critically acclaimed Xbox 360, PS3, and PC indie game Bastion. No Flash used! It looks and plays just like the original version. Mac users can also play (there is no Mac specific version).
The demo is free to play and you can unlock the full game for $14.99

Free HTML5 painting app by deviantART: Muro
This is crazy cool looking! It’s a free online app you use in your browser. It even works on iPad, and to an extent on iPhone (can’t zoom). You can also purchase access to more advanced brushes and tools, but all the important basics are free.
It supports layers, opacity, filters, and even WACOM tablets. Beta testers have already done some impressive work with it and I’m sure there’ll be a huge rush of new paintings now that it’s public.
I’ll have to play around with it and see if I can do anything cool. The only downside I see is that the canvas is limited to 900px × 446px.
Quake II running in Safari: no Flash or plugins, just HTML5.

Google Chrome BETA: Now available for Mac

Chrome has just been available as a feature limited (and not always stable) developer preview for Mac until today. Google has just released the public beta (finished enough to actually use) version of Chrome for Mac.
Captain Forever now open to the public
The addictive Flash game I posted about a while ago (as a 1 time pay to play beta) is now open for everyone to enjoy for free. So if you’ve got a few spare moments today give it a try, I bet you’ll end-up playing longer than you first intended.
A new version of the game was also launched for paid supporters called Captain Successor. It features new ship parts and slightly tweaked/updated graphics, a nice update to the original game.
Captain Forever Project; a very fun Flash game. One of the games podcast I listen to RebelFM loves this little game, so I decided to check it out.
It’s a “closed beta” but if you pay a 1 time $15 fee to the developer via PayPal you get access to this game and all of his future games. The Captain Forever game will become free in the near future, and the dev plans to up his fee to $20 to get access to all his future beta projects. $15 / $20 is a bit steep, but it’s an addictive game and it’s cool to support the indie game developer.
“What is a browser?” Insight into how non-tech people think. (via @kickingbear) (via @mantia)
It’s actually quite sad how little people know. No wonder people get viruses and use Windows PCs.
Get early alpha builds of Mac & Linux Google Chrome

These aren’t stable builds intended for every day use, but if like me you are interested in seeing the progress of the Mac version, it may be fun to download.
Google Chrome is the most secure browser
I hope the Mac version isn’t too far away…
