Sony’s NGP (PSP2) “Next Generation Portable”
Looks like Sony got it right this time with dual analogue sticks and super crisp OLED screen. Games will have to be home console quality though for me to want to carry one of these around; it’s a bit larger than the PSP-3000 (isn’t exactly small either). The ideal size for me would be iPhone 4 with some extra room for buttons and sticks on the sides of the screen…
Once I got my iPhone I never wanted to carry my old PSP or even DS Lite on me because the games weren’t compelling enough to justify taking-up all of my pocket space… iPhone games are good enough on the go. I think Sony might have an up-hill battle selling this to smart phone owners… And unless you are a Nintendo fanboy, or rich kid, the 3DS will be a hard sell too.
Here are some interesting news posts about it:

Lumines To Shine On The iPhone
This is an awesome game that started out on PSP and would be outstanding on the iPhone and iPod Touch.

LittleBigPlanet on PSP looks as good as the PS3 version. New trailer.
LittleBigPlannet for PSP looks and plays like PS3 version, but littler. Looks like a great port of the game engine.
Sony working on "good will" program to give digital copies of your UMD collection
Good! That’s what I was hoping for. If it’s a good program it will be even more reason to upgrade to a PSP Go. [via engadget.com]
Final Fantasy VII is now available on the Playstation Network for the PS3 and PSP for $9.99
(PSP) Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker ‘E3 2009’ trailer
The PSP Go introduction video.
The PSP Go is quite a bit smaller than the old hardware, especially when the controls are slid under the screen.
The main reason I don’t play my old PSP much now is because it’s size isn’t really very portable without cargo pants; especially if you want to bring more than 1 game with you. The lack of UMD games alone will be a huge upgrade. At about the size of an iPhone, the new PSP should be a great redesign. [via GiantBomb]

Final Fantasy VII is now available for download on Japanese PSN to be played on your PS3 and PSP. No word on if it’s also in English or not. [via Kotaku.com: Full Story]
I’d buy it again to be able to play it on my PSP.
