Beyond Good & Evil HD - Launch Trailer
One of my fav games in years. It’s only $10 for this HD re-release, so if you have an Xbox 360 you have no excuse not to buy it. Don’t let the talking pig turn you off to it, he’s actually quite cool. It plays very much like the 3D Zelda games, and has a surprisingly dark conspiracy story.
If this game sells well it will give Ubisoft incentive to finally get serious about the sequel they announced with a teaser trailer years ago. Some footage was leaked awhile back of what the 2nd game might be like.. The company has been really cagey about if the game is still in development or not ever since. So I hope Beyond Good & Evil HD does well for them. I’m going to buy it again too.
Ubisoft announces Beyond Good and Evil HD
Sadly it’s not BG&E 2, but an HD rerelease of the 2003 original (For Xbox, PS2, GameCube, and PC: Watch the trailer).
It could be in anticipation of a major announcement about the sequel that was originally teased in 2008 and has since been rumored canceled on and off for the past year or two because of a total media blackout. This footage leaked back around E3 2009 and was never shown officially.
“BG&E” is often called a “Zelda clone that is better than Zelda”. I’m sure Zelda fanboys would disagree, but it’s one of the great games that you just shouldn’t miss-out on. Thankfully this already beautiful game is being rereleased in HD for download on Xbox Live and PSN sometime in 2011 so you can check it out if you missed it the first time.
Hopefully a new HD trailer will be out soon, I’ll be sure to post it.
Beyond Good And Evil: Jade Concept Art
I love BG&E, it’s one of the best games of the last console generation. The PC version on GOG.com came with some cool concept art.
My first work of art done with Brushes for iPhone and iPod Touch. The character is Jade from one of my favorite games Beyond Good and Evil.
Video Game Backlog: Beyond Good & Evil

I was inspired by one of my favorite video game podcasts 1UP.fm to get myself a used copy of Beyond Good & Evil for PS2. 1UP.fm has a great segment where the group goes back and plays a quality older game that might have been overlooked by most people and then have a discussion about it on the podcast, they just started Beyond Good & Evil on their latest podcast.
I had the game before with my brother for the original Xbox but never played much due to other distractions in 2003 such as college etc even though I really liked them game. The Xbox version of the game isn’t backwards compatible with the Xbox 360 so I ordered the PS2 version on Amazon for use with my PS3 (that does have PS2 compatibility). I just hope I don’t overfill my plate with games this month.
