Just 10 Years Apart
I had the 10 GB version of the original Mac only Firewire iPod. Loved it. I remember at college it was still a bit of a novelty even after the Windows & Mac USB version was released.

iPhone 4S white 32 GB.
I took some similar photos of my old iPhone 4 when I first got my ‘SGP Steinheil EX Ultra Crystal skin’. I was so pleased with the skin that I got the same one for my new iPhone 4S. As you can see the glass protectors are almost invisible.

8GB RAM. Next-up: upgrade to a SSD.
So looks like I’ll have to wait until Nov to get my iPhone 4S, unless I can talk AT&T into bumping me up a month… From Apple’s Upgrade Eligibility page.
P.S. Sorry for the amount of iPhone posts.

Introducing iPhone 4S.
My opinion on the announcement:
I didn’t want a larger/thinner device anyway. I think the Android phones with large screens are ridiculous… And how thin can an iPhone get before it’s hard to hold? While a redesigned “iPhone 5” would have been more exciting for the “newness”, the iPhone 4 design is outstanding and still out-classes the competition’s industrial design.
iPhone 4S haters need to step-back and reexamine their expectations… The new features in this video speak for themselves. I’m personally most excited for the improved camera and “Siri”… My iPhone 4 has become my primary camera already, I’ll just shoot more photos/videos with a 4S. Siri is almost sci-fi, think version 1.0 of the AI “JARVIS” from the Iron Man films.
I’m not disappointed.

MacBook Pro Benchmarks (Early 2011) vs (Late 2008)

“Even though Apple’s new MacBook Pros look like the old MacBook Pros, there’s a lot that’s new and exciting under the hood…” -primatelabs.ca
- Late ‘08 MacBook Pro 15” 2.53 GHz Core2 Duo score: 3390
- Early ‘11 MacBook Pro 15” 2.3 GHz Core i7 score: 9886
- Early ‘11 MacBook Pro 15” 2.0 GHz Core i7 score: 8804
2.6 to almost 3 times as fast as my first generation unibody MacBook Pro! These scores do make the new MacBook Pros more tempting than just judging on face value. The high-end 17” MacBook Pro is even faster than all but the recent high-end Mac Pros.
