How not to take user feedback for your app
- NetworkShadow: @nickheer Do you know when Bluebird's reversed Tweet list bug is getting fixed? Oh wait that's a "feature" forced on us by the developer. (bluebirdapp.com)
- kerrent: @NetworkShadow Forced? Oh, please, for god sake, PLEASE don't feel forced and don't use Bluebird, I beg you :P
- NetworkShadow: @kerrent @nickheer A "feature" that is so contrary to the Twitter service's standards should be user optional. Otherwise it's a good app.
- kerrentnote: to self: remind me to selfishly keep for me the result of all these hours of hard work for FREE next time.
- NetworkShadow: I fail to see the point of refusing perfectly valid feedback from your user base, or taking such feedback personally. #Bluebird
- kerrent: @NetworkShadow you will be in our *userbase* when you will be an user, plus, I still need to hear your "valid" argument.
- PRSop2000: @kerrent not allowing for user choice on tweet order is not considered a valid argument? #Bluebird
- kerrent: @PRSop2000 do you have choice on twitter website? do u have choice in ANY twitter client? No. Not valid sorry.
- PRSop2000: @kerrent I'm just saying, when I saw the RESPONSE to the swap in the app, it came across as infantile at best.
- NetworkShadow: @kerrent You've made a wonderful Twitter app but it's also the only one with a backwards Tweet list. Why not allow both views?
- kerrent: @NetworkShadow because it make no sense, except if the input box is on top?
- kerrent: @NetworkShadow we are considering (not saying it will ever being done) putting the input box on top, but it means reversing the whole UI.
- NetworkShadow: @kerrent It's not an AIM client. I get your angle, but it's not the established standard. It should be a user option to switch sorting view.
- PRSop2000: @kerrent would be far easier IMO to put an option in the Prefs for Ascending or Descending tweet order...
- kerrent: @NetworkShadow you know what? There is million of other twitter clients. You don't have to use our. End of story.
- slugoo: @NetworkShadow - It's a shame those devs require "valid feedback" to be justified with a "valid arguement". That restricts free thought.
