The iPhone app: "Folders"
I just learned about this app via TUAW it allows you to browse your computer’s hard drive over WiFi directly on your iPhone or iPod Touch. It even lets you copy the files to your iPhone without running any desktop client etc.
UPDATE 10-01-08: I’ve learned that this app requires you to have your Mac’s web sharing turned on and files are retrieved via web browser. A far from ideal solution.
