iTunes Plus upgrade now available on a per track... →
Finally! Now you don’t have to pay to upgrade that EMO music you were into 4 years ago but now find annoying. Apple has given-in to demand, likely because people weren’t going to pay $50+ depending on how much music they had bought on iTunes in the past. [via tuaw.com]

It’s very easy online. Apparently USA cell providers are going to start releasing numbers to telemarketers in the next month, so it’s a good idea to be on the National Do Not Call Registry.

"1UP Yours" Podcast Still Alive (for at least 1... →
Perhaps the only surviving 1UP podcast after the layoffs at 1UP. Update: This may be the last 1UP Yours, but it sounds as if Garnet wants to continue some sort of podcast in the future.

Beat Prince of Persia (360) last night: Thoughts
From my post on the Untitled Image “Now Playing” topic. I really enjoyed it overall but it does have a few issues. My main issue with the game is it’s ridged controls, they just aren’t fluid or responsive as I felt they should be and often were the cause of my “death”. Most of the time you guide the Prince into an action and he will go into semi-auto.. For...

Old Faithful Xbox 360 gets Red Ring of Death
The nearly 3 year old 20GB Xbox 360 that I sold to friends of mine just a few months ago (so they could finally upgrade to a current gen console at a good price and I could upgrade to a 120GB Elite) finally got the 3 red rings last night. I got a call from my friend asking how to fix it. I told him to let it cool (since it may have overheated) before using it again… I haven’t heard...

Mac OS X Netbook Compatibility Chart →
I was listening to MacBreak Weekly and they were talking about installing Mac OS X on a PC netbook being very easy these days. With netbooks being so inexpensive it’s almost tempting to try on something like a Dell Mini 9 or an MSI Wind.

New in-session phishing attack could fool... →
Javascript can be exploited to access a user’s trusted website accounts (such as banks or email etc). The quick fix: stay logged-out of any sensitive accounts while browsing other sites; because they may have malicious code hidden in them. This effects most browsers on all platforms. Read the article for the details. [via arstechnica.com]

Player One Podcast ep 116: About 1UP UGO buyout →
No game talk this week. Instead, we dedicate the whole episode to talking about EGM’s closure and the 1UP layoffs in the wake of Hearst/UGO’s purchase of 1UP.com. In addition to regular hosts Chris “CJ” Johnston (ex-EGM News Editor) and Phil Theobald (ex-EGM editor and former GameNow Reviews Editor), we welcome a couple more ex-Ziff guests to the program: Kevin Gifford...

1UP Video Game Podcasts "Replacements" Impressions...
See Impressions 1 if you missed it. Rebel FM (RSS link) The indi reincarnation of 1UP FM, a must listen for anyone who loved the 1UP podcasts. I donated $10 to help them get started, I figure I owed them that much after enjoying their 1UP podcasts. IGN Game Scoop! 1UP Video Game Podcasts "Replacements" Impressions...
On my quest to fill the 1UP Podcasts void in my life I am listening to a bunch of podcasts I have never listened to before. So far I’ve listened to: Player One Podcast (iTunes link) I picked-up on an after holiday episode so it was rather bland. The hosts are ex-EGM staff so I went back to the previous episode to get a better taste. It might grow on me but I’m not overly impressed...

How to fill the huge 1UP podcast void in my heart?
Practically all of the 1UP network podcasts were my favorite podcasts I listen(ed) to, and not just in the video games category, mind you. The 1UP podcasts have been the best produced and well hosted podcasts anywhere. With the announcement of UGO’s buyout of 1UP (and EGM); my podcast subscriptions dwindle and it almost feels like I’ve lost a bunch of friends (the staff of the 1up...

iTunes Music Store Now DRM Free →
It’s about time! This marks the end of DRM music. You can “upgrade” your old iTunes downloads to DRM free high quality tracks for $0.30 a track… With the currently available DRM free tracks; for me it’s $55.47 to upgrade 215 songs.
