Mad: Missing-Out on LittleBigPlanet Beta keys →
I had been checking 1up.com all day yesterday between work in hopes that I’d catch the window to get my paws on a LBP beta key. However thanks to living in EST time zone I apparently missed when the contest went-up because of dinner. I’m going to keep trying until all the beta keys are gone…

Another iPhone app: "Briefcase" →
It does almost the exact same thing as the before mentioned “Folders” app (Allows you to browse and copy files from your computer without any desktop client). [Via TUAW] UPDATE 10-01-08: Apparently this app uses Bonjour to connect to your Mac and has a native iPhone file browser rather than a clumsy web browser/web sharing to view and download files. I’ve been using...

The iPhone app: "Folders" →
I just learned about this app via TUAW it allows you to browse your computer’s hard drive over WiFi directly on your iPhone or iPod Touch. It even lets you copy the files to your iPhone without running any desktop client etc. UPDATE 10-01-08: I’ve learned that this app requires you to have your Mac’s web sharing turned on and files are retrieved via web browser. A far from ideal...

KORG DS-10 Synthesizer delayed to Oct 14? →
It was originally listed as shipping on Sep 30th, and now listed as shipping Oct 14th. Kinda disappointing since I’ve got mine pre-ordered. UPDATE: Delayed again!

PSN download speeds
It took around 2:30 hours for WipeOut HD (1GB) to download on my 5Mbps connection last night. On top of that my PS3 didn’t download in the background while I was watching a DVD with my girlfriend. It didn’t technically start downloading until around 8 pm, as a result it didn’t finish until around 10:40 pm. I figure that would be around 400 MB an hour, or...

A custom soundtrack for WipEout HD [G.A.M.E. 3.0]... →
I found this while looking on Google for suggested WipeOut custom soundtrack songs. It’s a free MP3 album available for download. It sounds quite good from what I’ve previewed so far.

Bungie's new teaser trailer →
Looks cool. Hard to tell what it is exactly though. They do mention Halo 3, and it’s practically a scene taken out of Halo 2 or 3… If anything it looks like another perspective on the Halo 2 and 3 story. From what I’m seeing, whatever this game is; it will likely revolve around the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.

Bungie.net countdown. Next big game announcement? →
Just over an hour left at time of this post. Nobody knows if it’s just going to be more Halo 3 content, or Bungie’s next big game being revealed. I’ll be sure to update or post again once it’s announced. UPDATE: Link posted and my impressions.

This is a game concept that blew me away. Checkout the video. The Unfinished Swan is described as “a surreal maze game set in an entirely white world”, and to find your way around you’ll need to splatter paint all over the place. [More info on indiegames.com]

E feedback
My feedback email to the E team: hellomynameise.com Great sleek interface. I can see the potential and can’t wait for more services to be added. However one detail bothers me about E; using random codes to add friends. With no way to add friends via username or email address this seems to be an artificial barrier imposed on users to validate E’s purpose as an “offline”...

E →
I’ve just entered the beta for E; a new social networking service that encourages meeting people offline. E allows you to share your online identities (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Last.fm etc) easily while out and about via iPhone or other internet enabled cell phones. I love the idea, but as usual getting “the masses” to use E and make the service itself useful is going to be...

Tumblrette: Tumblr app for iPhone →
It’s only $1.99 and is a sleek simple way to post to your Tumblr from your iPhone or iPod Touch. It’s far better than using the web interface in mobile Safari. It’s only lacking feature is the custom URL option. UPDATE: The developer saw my little review and said on his blog that the Tumblr API doesn’t currently support custom URLs, so it’s not the app’s...

Switching to AT&T for an iPhone 3G →
Yes once again I’m thinking about switching over to AT&T for an iPhone 3G. It looks like AT&T finally has 3G in my area too, (they didn’t when the iPhone 3G first came out). The only reason I haven’t already switched is the damn contract with Alltel (I’m stuck with until April or May) that will force me to pay $200 for early termination of the contract…...

Penny Arcade's take on Seinfeld & Gates Microsoft... →
Blunt as usual with F-bombs, but funny. I’m kinda annoyed by the geeks who are trying to overly annualize the ADs for any real meaning… Perhaps Microsoft was going for hidden meanings, but if you ask me the ADs are about nothing and accomplish noting but to get people talking about how pointless the ADs are. They aren’t going to repair Vista’s bad rep with ADs about...

Music buying tips
Buy older albums used in CD format on Amazon.com. You can find most older albums that aren’t rare (a few years old) for around $2 or $3 plus $3 shipping. I just ordered 4 CDs for $20.26 total after shipping; the price of 2 albums downloaded or 1 album new at “BestBuy”. I must point-out that this doesn’t support the artists, but is legal, saves you money, and doesn’t...
